Directed by Kornpat Pawakranond, The Lost Princess is Sun and Moon Bangkok's most ambitious feature documentary to date — a film that spent several years in development before earning its place on the international festival circuit.

Following successful screenings at festivals across Asia and Europe, the documentary completed its theatrical run in Thailand in 2025. Audience response was strong, with the film generating significant conversation around its subject matter and Kornpat's distinctive directorial approach.

The Lost Princess establishes Sun and Moon Bangkok as a leading voice in independent Thai documentary filmmaking, and signals a new chapter for the company's long-form non-fiction work. A full release on streaming platforms is expected later this year.

Kornpat Pawakranond was invited to join talking session about Thai film industry and being female director in the industry and her coming feature documentary "The Lost Princess". Along with other 3 female directors "Nakorn-Sawan" by Puangsoi Aksornsawang, "Nah-Han" by Chantana Tiprachart and "Bangkok Dark" by Tanwimon Onpapleaw hosted by Yanin Pongsuwan.

"Respect your subject when you make documentary. I don't want to lose myself along the process, I don't want documentary that project my own ego. It would be unfair to them, and jeopardize myself as human being."
