Kornpat Pawakranond Named a Recipient of the Purin Pictures $50,000 Grant

Purin Pictures has selected Sun and Moon Bangkok director Kornpat Pawakranond as a recipient of its annual $50,000 grant — one of the most significant awards available to independent filmmakers in Southeast Asia.

The grant, which supports projects at the development stage, will fund Kornpat’s next feature project, details of which have not yet been disclosed. Purin Pictures cited the strength of the project’s creative vision and Kornpat’s track record in international co-production as key factors in the selection.
