Sun and Moon Bangkok Launches Film Education Initiative for Emerging Thai Filmmakers

Alongside its production work, Sun and Moon Bangkok has launched a film education initiative aimed at emerging Thai filmmakers who lack access to traditional training pathways.

Led by director Kornpat Pawakranond, the programme offers one-on-one mentorship, script development support, and hands-on access to professional production resources. Participants are selected based on the originality of their ideas and their commitment to developing a distinctive creative voice.

‘We were helped by people who believed in us early. This is our way of paying that forward. Thai cinema is at an exciting moment — we want to make sure the next generation of filmmakers has the support to be part of it.’

The programme is currently accepting applications for its next cohort.
